On November 13, 2024, the first circuit of the Guohua HG14 offshore photovoltaic project, in which Huaxi Marine Engineering participated, was successfully connected to the grid, marking the successful grid connection of China's first million-kilowatt-level offshore photovoltaic project.

On November 13, 2024, the first circuit of the National Energy HG14 offshore photovoltaic project, in which Huaxi Hai Gong participated in the construction, was successfully connected to the grid, marking the successful grid connection of China's first million-kilowatt offshore photovoltaic project.

The National Energy Investment Shandong Kenli 1 million-kilowatt offshore photovoltaic project is currently the largest offshore photovoltaic project in China's open sea area. The project covers an area of approximately 1223 hectares. For the first time, it applied 66 kV submarine and land cable long-distance power transmission technologyThis technology offers greater transmission capacity and lower costs. After the full grid connection, the estimated annual power generation is 1.78 billion kWh, which can meet the annual electricity consumption of approximately 2.67 million ordinary urban residents in China, saving 503,800 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1,344,700 tons. The project is of great significance and plays a leading and exemplary role in the large-scale development of the offshore photovoltaic industry in China and even the world.

Huaxi Hai Gong undertook the sea and land cable laying construction of the project's first section. With the trust and support of the owner and all participating parties, the Huaxi Hai Gong HG14 project team worked together and overcame numerous difficulties, including long-distance tidal flat construction, shallow water construction, iron plate sand geology, and construction across steel trestles. After 120 days and nights of hard work, they opened up a steel passage between the sea and land, and completed the connection of the first circuit.

With the sun shining high above, the tidal flats transformed into a dream. This achievement belongs to the ocean workers, bringing photovoltaics to thousands of households. Huaxi Hai Gong will continue to forge ahead, remain true to its original aspirations, pursue high-quality development, continuously cultivate the offshore engineering field, and promote the sustainable development of the enterprise.
